Design

Jamak’s engineering division is responsible for the design and development of an idea into a tangible product.

Implementing our ten-step design plan, our engineers will lead a multidisciplinary team in an in-depth analysis of chemistry, product engineering, process, ergonomics, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and program management to achieve the desired outcome on any project.

Our scientists and engineering team apply years of practical experience to every design. Environment, materials, thermal coefficient of expansion, tensile strength, surface finish, flatness, tolerance, compression, abrasion, joints or fastenings, and assembly methods are just a few of the many factors our team will consider during product development.

Our design team’s expertise leads to Jamak’s reputation as pioneers in the development of Silicone products. We have been first to market with numerous innovations from silicone gaskets in the automotive industry, to stretch gaskets for home appliances, to developing a technique to re-polymerize reclaim silicone, many practices that are standard today came out of Jamak's R&D.

The Jamak Laboratory

Jamak maintains an in-house lab staffed with scientists and trained laboratory technicians to efficiently and cost-effectively develop and evaluate materials and product quality. Our lab is capable of creating the chemical formulation needed for new products with no material spec provided.

With the ability to test for more than 25 standard attributes, the Jamak lab is responsible for physical testing, compositional analysis, failure analysis, corrective action determination, and dimensional verification of rubber and related materials and products.
