The Jamak Coronavirus Action Plan & Status Update v.1

For the week of 3/16/2020

Supply Chain Constraints

At this time, we do not foresee any supply chain constraints or interruption to our production and service levels.

Strategic Product Materials and Continuity Plan

Jamak compounds all our materials in-house and benefits from a large warehouse, which allows for the storage of a substantial inventory of parts and raw materials.

Across our leadership team, there are more than 200 years of experience working at Jamak. The average leader has been with Jamak 25 years, and worked their way up from within, to their executive role. This trend continues with our supervisors, most have been with the company a decade or more, also rising through many different positions. The result is a great deal of institutional knowledge and cross-training, which allows our business to move forward uninterrupted even if faced with significant absences from the team due to illness or personal matters.

At any juncture these leaders are prepared to:

  • Define and asses any threat or issue

  • Create a path forward

  • Implement the new plan

  • Validate this plan

  • Maintain plan

Emergency Command and Response

We have implemented an Incident Command System (ICS) to utilize a standardized approach to the command control and coordination of emergency response. We have appointed an ICS Team. They will coordinate all actions and decisions on behalf of Jamak during these fluid times.

This team meets twice daily to discuss and respond to any unforeseen issues as they happen and anticipate potential incidents and implement strategies to keep our business operating without significant downtime.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners is our number one priority.

Jamak has implemented a set of wellness protocols during the pandemic.

  • The ICS Team meets twice daily to share information and react as needed to changes quickly.

  • We are monitoring all health and travel advisories carefully.

  • The ICS Team will update our policies accordingly.

  • We are limiting business travel to mission-critical situations only.

  • The headquarters and factory close to all visitors and non-essential meetings.

  • Employees are required to stay home if they do not feel well.

  • We have relaxed policies on absenteeism and paid time off to encourage people to self-quarantine, care for themselves, or their loved ones.

  • Enhanced Cleaning Guidelines are in place; these include:

    • Regularly staffed janitorial, which will provide additional cleaning and sanitizing of common spaces, doorknobs, break room, bathrooms, entries, and exits.

    • Employees are required to clean their work areas at the start of their shift, right before their lunch break and again at the end of their shift.

    • Employees have guidelines on how to clean and disinfect their work area as well as all needed supplies.

  • We are providing our employees with gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer.

  • Jamak has an in-house lab and compounding facility, which allows us to mix our cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer. Therefore we do not have any concerns about limited quantities of these items.

  • Our intra-office communications include best practices on staying healthy and other COVID-19 related information.

  • We have posted guidelines to remain safe and healthy in all public areas, including bathrooms and break rooms.

  • We offer our employees flexible schedules to allow for childcare and other personal needs at this time.

  • We have created an employee portal on our website as a repository for all pertinent information and updates regarding the Coronavirus.
